Bikini Review: Comexim Garden of Eden 60J + M bottoms

Morning lovely readers!  Today I’m reviewing another bikini set, the Garden of Eden from Comexim.  I originally ordered their  Pomarańcza (which translates to Orange) set, since I love all things orange and bright orange looks killer with my summer tan.  Sadly, they ran out of fabric and sweet Anna sent me this as a replacement.  It fits very similarly to my Pin Up Girl set, so I can’t say I have new and exciting things to report in the way of fit, but let’s get on with the pictures and review anyways!

IMG_5767

So Garden of Eden looks very much like the name would suggest.  It’s a vibrant floral/leafy pattern on a white background.  Each individual swimsuit looks a little bit different from the others, as it’s not a repeating pattern on the fabric.   Mine was made in the 3HC pattern, in 60J with straps moved in 2cm and convertible hooks so I can cross the straps in the back.

IMG_5770

The fit is narrow and projected at the underwire, which I’ve come to expect from Comexim.  Interestingly, despite the same tagged size, this entire top ran slightly smaller and tighter.  I found the band uncomfortably tight, and you can see it digging into my flared ribs.  It arrived to me stretching to only 26.5″ which is pretty small for a 28 band.  I could close it, but it wasn’t comfortable.  The sides of the cups also felt tight and cut into my armpit fat and Tail of Spence.  I also had zero gapping in the cups, which is good but in contrast to my 60J Pin Up Girl.  It seems I need a band that stretches to the sweet spot between Garden of Eden and Pin Up Girl, which keeps getting looser the more I wear it.

IMG_5771

The set together is very pretty, if you’re into floral and garden prints.  Unfortunately, it’s not quite my style.  I really appreciate Anna’s desire to fulfill every order and her willingness to go above and beyond.  She could have simply stated they couldn’t do this swimsuit and been done with it, but I can tell she really wanted me to have a suit and this set was her olive branch.  I desperately wish I loved it.  I’m just not a floral person.  I know it’s very popular among the lingerie community and this bikini has been highly sought after, which makes me feel like an oddity.  I’m guess I’m much more of a solids/stripes/polka dots/small patterns person when it comes to swimsuits.

IMG_5772

Bit blurry here, but the back coverage is perfect.  Lower rise, almost full coverage but not totally.  Again, I find myself wishing I loved the print!!

That’s it for this one readers.  What are your thoughts on Garden of Eden.  Have a happy bra day!

Bra Review: Comexim Poison Ivy 3HC, 60HH

For those keeping track, this is the second Poison Ivy bra I own.  What can I say, I’m in love with the aesthetics.  Due to recent weight loss, the Poison Ivy Plunge is quite a bit too tall in the cups now, so I decided to re-order it in the 3HC pattern.  I don’t have a lot new to say about the fit, as it’s pretty identical to all the other Comexim 3HCs I own.  But it’s truly stunning to look at 🙂

IMG_5754

The biggest difference visually between this half cup and the plunge is that the forest green lace covers the entire cup, rather than leaving a rose-beige top section like the plunge does.  Personally, I love this.  I have a serious soft spot for green lingerie, and the shade is rich.  It also sets this bra apart – the two cuts look just enough different from each other that it justifies keeping both of them 😉

IMG_5755

The fit is great and what I’ve come to expect from Comexim.  Narrow wires and good bottom projection.  This particular half cup seems to minimize my shape more than other 3HCs, and I can’t put my finger on why.  The band is on the tight size of TTS, but if it’s like my plunge it will stretch quickly.

IMG_5761

Much like my plunge, I feel like an enchanted forest fairy wearing this bra.  The subtle hint of cleavage, wonderful lift and shape, and the color all combine to make Poison Ivy remain at the top of my “favorite bras” list.  I really have never seen its equal.

IMG_5781IMG_5779

Look at the intricate pattern on that lace!  Comexim pays so much attention to the details.  I love the sparkly C charm on the gore, the bows, the and pinkish beige shade of the cups and wings.

What do you think?  What are your favorite Comexim bras?

Thanks for stopping by!  More reviews to come this week. 🙂 Have a fantastic Tuesday lovelies!

Bra Review: Comexim Annika 3HC, 60HH

Look at me go – 2 reviews in one week 🙂 Comexim Annika is a stunning brown and copper bra carried by Zathiya.  It feels very much like the perfect autumn bra – I can see myself lounging around in Annika and a soft sweater with a mug of hot chocolate.  I’ve had my eyes on Annika ever since it was released as a plunge cut a few months ago, so when Aisha at Zathiya asked if I’d like to review the half cup version of it, I was over the moon excited.

IMG_5819

I’m totally smitten with the aesthetics of this bra.  It’s very classy.  Brown is sadly underutilized in the lingerie world, so I’m thrilled to see another chocolate brown bra.  The copper ribbon is the perfect accent to the brown.  My favorite part of the design is the lace overlay on the cups that shimmers.  It’s not a contrasting color, the lace is brown, but the shimmer causes it to stand out just enough to be noticed but not take away from the overall design.

IMG_5824

Fit-wise, I have no complaints.  The band is true to size, measuring exactly 28″ stretched.  The fit of the cups is spot on when compared to the rest of my 60HH Comexim half cups.  The wires are narrow at 5.0″ and there’s plenty of immediate projection at the bottom of the cups.  I was worried the copper ribbon would close off the top of the cups, but it really doesn’t.  Not enough to cause fit problems for me, at least.   I suppose if you are very FOT you may notice the cups cutting in a little in comparison to other half cups.  On me, my left and larger side just fits in, and my right and smaller side fits perfectly with a tiny bit of room to spare.  This is how I expected the bra to fit based on my previous experiences and taking into account my asymmetry, and I have to say I’m impressed with Comexim’s consistency when it comes to cup sizes.

IMG_5826

Here’s a closer view of the shimmery lace and copper detailing.  There’s also a small cameo charm on the central gore.  Aesthetically, this bra reminds me very much of the Anna Pardal “Miss Pam” that I never managed to acquire before AP shut down.  I love that the styles are very similar because I lusted after Miss Pam, and now I have something even prettier, in my opinion 🙂

IMG_5829

Annika gives me very subtle cakes-on-a-plate cleavage, which I love.  I simply cannot get over how beautiful this bra is.  I’m very lucky and thankful to have the chance to wear and review Annika.  Now all I need to find is the matching bottoms! 🙂

What do you think?  Do you find Annika as stunning as I do?  What bras are you currently lusting after?  Thanks for stopping by!

Bra Review: Ewa Michalak CHP Gazeta, 65F

For most of you reading this, the Gazeta needs no introduction.  Gazeta translates to “newspaper” and was a wildly popular bra by Ewa Michalak back when it was first released.  Despite several reviews stating the band runs tight and the bra overall was terribly uncomfortable, it remained popular due to its uniqueness.  Gazeta is a padded half cup made from a newspaper print fabric, with black piping, ruffles and little red hearts as accents.  I missed out on the original run of Gazeta, and it’s been discontinued for quite some time due to the apparent loss of the fabric source.  I always had it on my list of Unicorn Bras – bras I love but figured I’d never be lucky enough to snag.

Well, thanks to a lovely friend and incredible timing, I now have a Gazeta in my hands.  Or rather, on my boobs.

IMG_1106

Ta-da!  The original Gazeta design featured a split strap where the straps attach to the cups, but the previous owner removed that.  I hear it pinches skin, so I’m not complaining.  Just look at this lovely work of art!  I’ve never seen a bra anywhere else that looks remotely like Gazeta.  Possibly the coolest part of this bra is the newspaper fabric – it means that no two Gazeta bras are identical.  I’ve often said I have a thing for unique bras or unusual designs, but in this case it is TRULY one of a kind.  Nobody else has this exact bra!

IMG_1099

Gazeta fits me almost perfectly.  I do find the band to run a full size tight, which is great for me.  The wires are not quite as narrow as my other half cups but I’ll overlook that because it’s a freaking Gazeta.  The bottom projection is sufficient and I don’t quad out of the top OR notice any gapping on my smaller side.  Not sure how this feat is accomplished, but I suspect it has something to do with the ruffle trim!  The straps are typically wide-set, on par with other Ewa bras, but I have broad shoulders and don’t find it to bother my armpits too much.  Those with narrower frames will likely have a different experience.

IMG_1104

I do find the cups to run taller than other CH/Ps I’ve tried, and you can see there’s no hint of cleavage here.  I also have lost upper fullness from weight loss, so that could definitely be a factor in how the cups fit me.  I measured Gazeta’s cups at 5.25″ wide and 9.5″ deep – definitely on the larger side for a 65F.

IMG_1101

Personally, I don’t hate the little heart accents, but I know they’re not everybody’s taste.  I think the red hearts help the giant red bow in the center make sense.  If there was only one or the other, it would seem to me like a random use of the color red.  Instead, the red becomes part of the color scheme of the bra.

I really can’t say enough good about Gazeta.  I find the fabric and ruffles fairly soft and the wires firm but comfortable, but mine is also secondhand and broken in a bit.  Your mileage may vary 😉 I am tickled I had the chance to add Gazeta to my bra wardrobe.  It’s truly unique and makes me happy when I wear it!

That’s all for today, thanks for stopping by!

Bra Review: Ewa Michalak CH Cherry

CH Cherry is a brand new bra for Ewa Michalak and the first CH cut she has released in a long time.  This cut is slightly narrower and more projected than the CHP and while both work on me, I prefer the CH.  It’s a cut that’s in hot demand and for whatever reason, Ewa rarely/if ever makes them anymore.  Even by special request, she’s more apt to custom make a bra as a CHP than a CH.  While the differences are subtle in my size range, they’re enough to make me wish the CH style was in regular production.

I’ve somewhat struggled with sitting down and writing this review, because while this bra is great on paper and I will be keeping it for reasons I’ll explain in a bit, I’m a bit underwhelmed by it.  I think I had Cherry all hyped up in my head and certain aspects of it simply failed to deliver.  Just in case you don’t know, CH is a padded half cup with 2 vertical seams that comes with cookie pockets and removable pads.  I prefer not to use them as they take away a bit of immediate projection so for this review, all pictures were taken without the removable pads.  First, let’s take a look:

IMG_0808

Oh myyyy.   So Cherry has all the things that would make up a damn sexy bra.  It’s red.  It’s black.  It’s red and black.  It has black seaming.  It plays to the new-ish “cage bra” trend with extra spaghetti straps attached to the regular shoulder straps.  Seriously, what’s not to love?  And from the front, it looks pretty good.  At first glance, nothing really seems amiss, although from the stock photos on Ewa’s website I expected the color to be a more vibrant red.  In person, it’s kind of a muted maroon.  Also – the extra straps are great in theory, but they’re almost impossible to adjust.  They are wider than the adjustment sliders and practically take pliers to apply the force needed to make them shorter or longer.  Once you get them the right length, the part of the strap that’s doubled up after adjustment likes to twist around and not lie flat.

IMG_0815

Fit problem #1 – it’s huge.  The cups are taller than other CH models and very open on top, therefore they swallow up my short roots.  If I add the pad, some of that extra space goes away on my left side but there’s still noticeable gaping on my right.  The gapping is enhanced by the typically Ewa-wide placement of the shoulder straps.  Also worthy of noting: the shoulder straps are the most uncomfortable straps I’ve ever met.  They’re very narrow (only 0.4″ wide) and very very thin and unpadded.  They feel plasticky and cheap and I’m not impressed at all.  They’re painful and dig into my shoulders, and the attachment point to the spaghetti straps feels rough and scratchy.  I know Ewa can do better than this.

I believe this bra was designed with cakes-on-a-plate cleavage in mind, but I get absolutely zero cleavage.  With an almost complete lack of upper fullness, the spaghetti straps sit on my muscle above my upper root and feel pretty oddly placed, to be honest.  They also stick out of shirt necklines.  I think this was Ewa’s intention, but I’m not an overtly sexy person.  I like the extra straps for the bedroom, but not for taking the girls out on the town.  And since nobody’s breasts are perfectly symmetrical, each spaghetti strap winds up adjusted to a different length and the obvious sliders that scream “bra strap!!” stand out from above your tee shirt and look kind of awkward.

IMG_0809

From the side profile you can see where the extra straps sit well above where my upper root is.  You can also see this bra’s MAJOR selling point.  Projection.  All the projection, ever.  This bra needs a therapist.  Not only are the wires nice and narrow, these cups basically go straight out from the wire, and my boobs do a little happy-boobie dance while eating up all that space.  I loooooove the amount of room in the bottom of the cup, however I’m not really a fan of how much bigger I feel it makes me look.  I’m already petite and somewhat disproportionate.  While this bra doesn’t actually add a size, it does definitely present what’s already there for all the world to see.  The gore is wider than other EM bras, which could be problematic for some, but the cups are also very projected at the center.

IMG_0812

Fit problem #2 – the band.  It’s giant.  Actually, it’s not far off from its tagged size.  It’s a 65/30 band, but a lot of EM’s bands run tight, and 60 bands are custom order.  I hoped I could get away with a 65 band here, but I cannot.  It stretches easily to 30″ and probably easily to 31.”  Coupled with my recent drop in weight, it’s just not working for me.  I’ve got it closed on the tightest hooks here and obviously, there’s room to spare.

To sum up – I could have ordered a 60FF and been fine.  So with all of this in mind, one might ask why I’m keeping CH Cherry.  Well, I could exchange it, but return shipping to Poland is cost prohibitive.  Instead of pay to send it back, I decided to make it my project bra.  Basically, I kept it because it’s a CH.  I can’t give up something that is so totally accommodating to my shape and provides the amount of room at the wire I need.  However, it needs several alterations to really make it wearable for me.  I wanted to review the bra as it was made so the baseline was out there and my readers know what to expect if they ordered one.  Now that I’ve done that, I’m making myself a Cherry Frankenbra.  I’m altering the band shorter, completely replacing the shoulder straps with something more comfortable and moving the placement of them in roughly a centimeter, lowering the extra spaghetti straps, and making them removable by using a black slip ring instead of a solid black ring.  This way I can undo them from the main shoulder straps and tuck them down into the bra cup if I’m not feeling the extra straps that day.  I might also take the annoying sliders off and make them non-adjustable, although I’m undecided on that since my size can fluctuate slightly and I don’t want them to dig in on a day I’m running particularly swollen.

I’ve gotten to work on these alterations the last few days and while the cups themselves will still be too big, the new placement of the straps helps minimize the gapping.  I do believe this bra is projected enough to allow me to wear the pads, so I’m going to do that if I need to.  I have nothing else like Cherry in my closet and I’m very happy to have another projected half cup in my rotation.  I just feel like this bra had a lot of potential it didn’t quite live up to.

I’ll be back to post a before and after comparison once I’m done with the adjustments.  Thanks for stopping by!

Bra Review: Comexim Elena half cup, 60HH

Well it’s about time I wrote another review!  Usually I am not absent for a month, but the holidays caught up with me.  Apologies to my lovely readers.  As for the bra: is there anything Comexim can’t do??  I think not.  Today’s gem is the Elena Half Cup, with a specific modification.  Typically Elena is made as a single seamed half cup pattern, which is clearly seen in the stock photos.  This cut doesn’t work well for my shape, so I asked the dear Anna if she could possibly make one in the 2 seam cut, so that the dimensions and fit would theoretically be identical to my Victoria.  Much to my gratitude, Comexim happily obliged.  I also asked for it to be black, since I still lacked a wardrobe stable black bra.

IMG_0677

Ta-da!  Elena is indeed very close in measurements to Victoria.  I measured 5.25″ wide and 9.0″ deep, compared to Victoria’s 5.0″ wide and 8.5″ deep.  Since the cups are slightly wider, the extra depth is a non-factor:  since my roots love 5.0″ wide cups, and this is 0.25″ wider on each side, consider that extra 0.5″ of depth somewhat “wasted” to the outsides of my breasts.  This makes the actual fit on me nearly identical to Victoria.  Is that enough math for you today?

IMG_0680

Moving on.  This is a profile shot of my bigger breast, showing slight bubbling.  At the risk of sounding like a broken record – this is how almost all bras fit on me.  It fits my smaller side perfectly.  Since I tend to pick bubbling over gapping (unless it’s bad enough to be visible under shirts), I don’t really consider this a fit issue.  The consistent Comexim standards apply – narrow wires, room for projection at the bottom of the cup, a nice snug true-to-size band, and solid construction.

IMG_0681

The last thing I’d like to point out is my favorite aspect of Elena, and most Polish bras in general.  The attention to detail.  This could easily have been “just another black bra.”  Black is boring.  Black is basic.  It’s the bread to your jelly.  Black and nude bras are essentials to almost every wardrobe.  But the little lace trim, the pretty crystal gore charm, and the cute bows serve to make Elena special.  I will always appreciate the little touches that take a potentially basic bra to a wardrobe staple you still feel pretty in and love to wear 🙂

Stay tuned readers!  My next review will be of a rare sighting.  A diamond in the rough.  A needle in a haystack.  One of those “I can’t believe I found this and now actually have a real life one in my very own hands!!!” bras… Comexim Luna!

Bra Review: Ewa Michalak CHP Groszki I Róże, 65F

Today’s review is another EM half cup.  The vertical seam pattern looks just like Comexim’s half cups and these narrow, projected 3 part half cups continue to work well for my shape.  I was super excited for the chance to get my hands on this set, as it’s gorgeous and been discontinued for quite some time.  This is the most unique bra I own to date.  I love the mint color and black and pink lace/flower accent, and I love that I was able to get the matching undies in my size.  Finally I have a matching set!  I’m not obsessive about matching, but I do try to wear mainly black bras with black underwear, and so on.  I try to match the dominant colors together, but in this bra’s case I had nothing close.  Minty blue/green is one of my favorite colors, even though it’s a cool tone and I have very warm skin.  Oh well!  On to the bra.

IMG_0663

This bra fits me just like the 65F Stalowka I reviewed earlier.  It’s a low coverage, narrow, projected half cup that is a tiny bit too small on my left side and absolutely perfect on my right.  The general rule of thumb in the bra fitting world is to fit your larger side and pad your smaller side if needed, but this presents a couple of problems for me.  One – in either Ewa or Comexim, if I go up a cup size the wires are too wide.  Two – if I add any padding whatsoever to the bottom of these or any cups, the wires will not hold in my IMF.  I’m extremely projected, especially at the wire, and I need every cm of room I can get.  Almost all of my bras slide a little out of my IMF after a couple of hours.  So, I’m breaking the “rules” but I’d rather have a bit of bubbling or quadding on my larger side than try to deal with padding on my smaller.

IMG_0666

The side profile reflects the bubbling I get with my problem child left breast, but I do not fall out of this bra.  I don’t know how these half cups manage to do it, because they’re so low coverage I run around expecting to pop out any time.  But I don’t!!  It’s a bra miracle 🙂

IMG_0668

Look how perfectly righty fits in this bra 🙂 Something notable about Groszki I Róże – this is The Softest Bra Ever.  It’s made of unicorn hair and clouds.  It’s more flexible than some of the other half cups I’ve tried and the band and straps are silky smooth.  My picky skin appreciates this 100%.

IMG_0673

The matching undies are made of the same super soft mint fabric and carry the lace and rose trim pattern to complete the set.  They’re a size 36, approximately a UK 8, and very stretchy.  They fit pretty well on my 36″ hips so I’d say they’re true to size.  I take my own photos and find full body shots kind of difficult to focus so you’ll have to excuse that this is a bit fuzzy.

In the end, I adore this set despite the minor fit issues.  I can see myself going to it for special occasions in particular.  What do you think, dear readers?  If your breasts are slightly asymmetrical like mine, do you find you prefer to fit the smaller one or the larger one?

Bra Review: Comexim Veronique half cup, 60HH

Today I have another Comexim half cup to review, and this time it’s the cute and girly Veronique.  Veronique is offered on the website as a plunge, but Anna is aware of my half cup obsession lately and made Veronique as a half cup.  Interestingly enough, this is a single half cup construction, which is how Victoria is marketed and what I thought I’d be getting with Victoria.  It’s probably better that I didn’t, because Veronique – as sweet as she is – doesn’t quite work for me.  It’s possible it’s related to the cut, so let’s explore why.

IMG_0642

From the front, she looks pretty good.  The cups are lower coverage than the 2 seamed design, and I get some amazing cakes on a plate cleavage.  The band is true to size, and the color combination is unique.  The whole bra has a very “Victoria’s Secret” feel to it, and my fellow Americans will understand what I mean.  The polka dots are trendy, and the pop of pink lace keeps it from feeling too childish.

IMG_0643

Even from the side profile (which is somewhat blurry, sorry), it looks prety good.  The wires are too wide for my root, but only by 0.25″ or so.  The uplift and rounded shape is ideal.  The cups are projected, but… I’m going to pick them apart for a minute and explain the differences in fit between this half cup and my Sonia and Victoria half cups.

IMG_0646

And, there we go.  The bottoms of the cups are wrinkling and collapsing.  While Veronique is projected, the projection is more at the apex of the bra and not right at the underwire, which is where I need it most.  The folding of the bra is a clear indicator that I need more immediate projection than what this bra is offering me.

IMG_0644

Here I am marking the bottom underwire of the cup with my right hand and the bottom root of my breast with my left hand.  There should be no space or folded material here, but sadly there is.

IMG_0645

Also, the corners of this bra’s cups are too tall for me.  This has never been a problem for me with Comexim, so I was really surprised to see this.  This picture shows you just how short my upper root is.

I would like to conclude this review by stating some very positive aspects of Veronique.  The quality of materials and construction is second to none and something Comexim repeatedly does very well.  The design really is adorable.  And I would also like to point out that I am an extreme case when it comes to my need for immediate projection, and I also have very short roots.  This is not a shallow bra, and I would be confident saying that it would work for 85% of people with my size and shape.  In fact, it’s not unwearable for me.  I am just quite pendulous and have bras that “technically fit” better.

You can find Veronique as a plunge here, and if you email Anna at comexim@comexim.pl I’m sure she’d be happy to make it in a half cup for you.

Thanks for reading – till next review lovely ladies!

Bra Review: Comexim Victoria Half Cup, 60HH

Look at me go – I changed my background for the next few posts!  I’m winning in life right now.  Today’s review is a lovely new beige-and-navy-lace Comexim design, and mine is a half cup.  Victoria can also be made in a plunge, if you request when you order.

Originally I thought Victoria was supposed to be a single-seamed half cup, but mine arrived and is a 2 part cup cut identically to my Sonia.  I ordered Victoria one cup size smaller based on how wide and roomy the Sonia is on me.  This was a good decision.  Victoria is a win for me on every single level.  Let’s take a look, shall we?

IMG_0636

There really aren’t words to describe her beauty – she speaks for herself.  I looooove the nude layer beneath the lace.  My summer tan is fading fast and the nude is just barely lighter than my skin tone.  On somebody a little paler than me, the nude would mostly disappear and give the illusion of blue lace on bare skin.  The bows are perfect and the eyelash lace is a gorgeous detail.  I also adore the depth of the navy hue.  Some navy can be flat and boring, but this navy is rich and satiny.

IMG_0640

From the side profile, it’s easy to see why I love the fit of Victoria.  The wires follow my root perfectly, unlike the larger Sonia which was too wide.  They also sit nicely in my IMF.  I feel my breasts are slightly changing shape and becoming more pendulous than before (thank you, aging!) and some of the bras I could previously get away with are now slightly too shallow at the wire.  I’m so thankful Victoria has enough room in the bottom of the cup – this is something generally Comexim does very well and a big reason I keep returning to this brand.

IMG_0641

There’s no visible quadding anywhere, although my left and larger side is close to bubbling and my right and smaller side has a small gap.  But these issues are minor – they’re nowhere near bad enough to justify a different size or even be noticeable in pictures or under clothing.  The band is also spot on – with my 60 band stretching to exactly 28.”  I have read other reviews where Victoria has ran a whole size small in the band, which was making me nervous and I sighed in relief when mine turned out true to size.

Victoria is another win for me from Comexim and she is also arguably the most beautiful bra I’ve laid eyes on.  She’s right up there with Poison Ivy on my top 5 list of favorite bras, ever.  The fact that Victoria fits so well is just a bonus!

What do you think?  Are you dying to try a Victoria now?

Bra Review: Ewa Michalak CH Onyks, 65F

Today I’m reviewing the 4th and final Ewa Michalak CH/CHP I’ve been able to try on so far.  That is, until my CHP Groszki I Róże gets here next week 😉

On display today is a 65F CH Onyks.  It’s a solid black bra with completely convertible straps, allowing it to be worn cross back and strapless.  I was excited to get my hands on this one because despite my massive bra collection, I do not own a single solid black bra!  Let’s take a look at her, shall we?

IMG_0263

From the front – not too bad!  I like the button detail instead of bows.  It has the classic CH shape and cut.  Let’s look at the side view:

IMG_0264

Now we’re starting to see a couple of issues.  Namely, the bubbling/quadding.  This is verging on full on quadding for me – it felt worse than the pictures suggest.  It appears the Onyks, and its white twin Lilia, are satin edge trimmed and more closed off than typical CH/CHP bras.  As mentioned in previous reviews, the main reason I can get away with a 65F in the CH/CHP cut is because it is very open on top.  Let’s look at the last shot:

IMG_0266

It’s hard to see in photographs, but you can tell how my problem child lefty is trying to make a break for it towards the center of the bra.  Along with the closed-off cups, the band is very stretchy and generous for a 65 band.  I needed to close it on the tightest hooks right away.  One would think that simply sizing up to a 65FF would solve the quadding issues, and it would.  It would also render the cups too wide 😦 Therein lies my problem with 99% of Ewa (and UK) bras – if the cups are big enough, the wires are too wide.  Fortunately, the Groszki I Róże is said to be very open on top, so I am still looking forward to receiving that set and reviewing it for all my lovely readers!

I ended up re-selling dear Onyx.  I’m disappointed, since I loved the aesthetics of it.  Alas, my hunt for the perfect solid black bra continues!
